Election Committee final report
(Summary Aug. 29, 2007) This is the final report of the Election Committee charged with conducting and overseeing the Election of Officers. Brothers Steve Carter, Al Cooper, Gary Coulter, Leigh Cummings, and Lee Loftus comprised the Election Committee. The Committee held its first meeting on April 4, 2007, and met seven more times over the next five months. Ballots were mailed on July 27 to all eligible members. The ballots were counted on August 28 in the Operating Engineers’ Auditorium. The count was conducted by the accounting firm Cinnamon Jang Willoughby & Company. The ballot count for the positions of Pension and Benefits Trustees resulted in the election of the following three officers: Brian Cochrane Brad MacKenzie Brad Randall All other positions were filled by acclamation, as reported in the July 2007 OE News. A single ballot was cast by the Recording Corresponding Secretary to confirm the election of each of those candidates. The election committee confirms that all officers are duly elected in their nominated positions. All of which is respectfully submitted on behalf of the committee. |
